Welcome to The Ragger!

The YMCA Rag Program has been around since 1914 to help people grow in mind, body, spirit with the emphasis of the Judeo-Christian faith. The program has been created to allow anyone who would like to focus on accepting and accomplishing personal challenges or goals that help one become the best version of themselves through becoming closer to God and by living by Judeo-Christian values. The Rag Program helps individuals to not be self-centered but God/others-centered in their way of living. The Rag Program sees the core values of honesty, caring, respect, responsibility, and faith woven through challenges and goals that participants make. With most camps having campers begin their camping experience at age 9, the leather program was born. The Ragger has created rags: green, orange, and tan, to replace the three leathers in the program. Keeping all participants with rags brings uniformity in program language and inclusion for all that attend camp. The Ragger reaches people from 9 to 120 years old helping them to grow and in due time, dedicate a lifetime to Christian service.
